PLAY is a program created by Dr. Emily Moscato along with caregivers and healthcare providers at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, with influence from Dr. Susan Landry’s Play and Learning Strategies (PALS) program and Dr. Shari Wade’s Gaining Real Life Skills Over the Web (GROW) program.

It is based on prior research on young childhood cancer survivors and a similar intervention designed to meet the needs of families of childhood cancer survivors between the ages of 3 and 6.

Throughout PLAY, you will:

  • Recognize potential effects of cancer on you and your family
  • Learn the links between your child’s development, their brain health, and your parenting
  • Learn effective parenting strategies for a young childhood cancer survivor
We hope PLAY will help your family feel more supported as you move forward. Meet the members of our team here.
