How Can I Support My Child’s Emotional Awareness?

Your child’s emotional development may have been impacted by their cancer and cancer treatment. Emotional development includes how your child can:

• Name and express feelings (i.e., emotional awareness, covered this module)
• Think before acting (i.e., self-control, covered next module)

During this module, you will learn:

• How cancer might impact emotional development, specifically emotional awareness (self-control will be covered in module 4.3)
• Expectations for emotional development
• How you can support your child’s emotional development
