How Do I Work with My Child’s School?

Because of your child’s cancer, they may have challenges with behavior, learning, or physical needs. For some children, it may happen right away, and for others, months can pass before issues appear. If it becomes clear that your child may need additional supports (also known as accommodations in the school system), there are several things you can do as a caregiver.

• Skills to help your child transition into preschool, kindergarten, or elementary school
• Services that are available for you and your child
